Association of Northwest Weavers’ Guilds Conference
The Prince George Fibre Arts Guild would like to invite you to CONFLUENCES – June 11th to 16th, 2019.
The 2019 Association of Northwest Weavers’ Guilds Conference is offering 18 two-day fibre arts workshops and 76 seminars with 24 instructors.
Keynote Address and Fashion Show. Vendor Hall, Exhibits and Awards, Guild Booths, Author Signing, Tea Towel Exchange, Door Prizes, Fluff and Stuff, Spin-Ins, Knitting Circles and more.
The theme of “Confluences” was chosen to represent the place – Prince George, BC which sits at the confluence of the Nechako and Fraser Rivers – and the confluence of the various fibre crafts our members practice – from ‘sheep to shawl’, felted, knitted, woven, sewn, from hand spun and commercial yarns, hand dyed and commercially dyed. It also signifies the confluence of different cultures represented by our guild members, Aboriginal, Metis, immigrants from around the globe.
