Arts Micro Grants Now Available

The Prince George Arts Micro-Grant Program is financially supported by the annual Mayor’s Black & White Ball for the Arts.

This event is held each year by the Prince George Symphony Orchestra, Theatre NorthWest and the Community Arts Council. The grant program is administered via the Community Arts Council and will aim to support the success of Prince George’s emerging and professional artists or arts organizations by providing financial support for short-term projects. The goal of this program is to provide momentum to projects currently underway but might not reach their full potential without a small or prompt financial investment. The 2019 application deadline is Monday April 1st.

Eligible projects must:

  • Impact Prince George audiences or strengthen connection with the community
  • Be short-term
  • Be comprised of eligible expenses that will improve the quality, or viability, of the project, or its reach. Examples include promotional materials, photography, venue rental etc.

Ineligible projects include:

  • Tuition, artists wages or travel expenses
  • Equipment purchases or other capital costs

Applicants may be a non-profit society, unincorporated collective, or adult individual who has been a resident of the City of Prince George for at least one year.  Funds can only be dispersed to successful applicants when available. If you are unsure if your project is eligible or to find out if funds are available, please contact Sean Farrell at executive@studio2880.com.
